Cathy has been singing in Capital Region
bands for over twenty years. She first set foot
on stage at the age of nine and spent many of
her formative years performing in school,
community and regional productions in New
York, Connecticut, New Jersey and
Pennsylvania. She studied voice at both the
Hartt School of Music and at her alma mater in
Pennsylvania, where she received an
undergraduate degree in theater. She began
singing with bands in 1987 with the Spectrum
Orchestra. A few years later she had the
opportunity to join a new band that became
known as MiXeD Company. When MiXcO
went on a brief hiatus at the turn of the new
century, Cathy joined the venerable band Direct
Drive. Thrilled to be in a reincarnation of Mixed
Company, she brings her versatile vocal
stylings and pristine pitch to cover everything
from swing, to classic rock and oldies,
contemporary pop to standards and disco, as
well as Latin and country. Her favorite part of
MiXcO is the vocals – the harmonies can't be
beat!
